Brake fluid

After getting my car back from the stealers yesterday, for coilpack recall. they also left me a list of things that needed doing. One of the important things was brake fluid, so what is the best brake fluid for me to get, as I am having it done on monday

Mods: R-Tech custom remap, Beachbuggy K250 Turbo, Forge 007 DV, RAMAIR Jetstream 108 induction filter, silicone piping throughout, R-Tech Supersize TIP, 42 Draft Stealth Catch Can, N249 bypass, Ported Manifold, Toyo Sports FMIC with 2 & 1/2 pipes, Custom made full turbo back exhaust & 2 & 1/2 " downpipe and 200 cell sports cat. BAM injectors, Turbosmart Boost Gauge, BBS CK Wheels, 312mm Brembo front discs and pads, Carbon canister delete and last of all, a liquid cube!

Dot 4. Just get some 'branded' dot 4 and that should be fine.

Why would they have been messing with the brakes to know it needed fluid  :shocked:

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Why would they have been messing with the brakes to know it needed fluid  :shocked:

They did something called EVC (Express Visual Check) they also said i needed other things, totalling about £1000  :shocked:

I wouldn't to suggest any particular stuff to you just in case it is not suitable. However, brake fluid is brake fluid & ATE make the front callipers on your car so I guess it would be ok. Get on eurocarparts, they have 31% off at the moment!  :smiley:

VW do it for about £60 I think and will pressure bleed it properly. I'd let them do it. Brakes on clutches are a nightmare to bleed on these I've found lol.

VW quoted me £71.40  :shocked:

It is not something I would even attempt to do myself. I use a VAG expert who used to work at the local VW place some time ago, but he left and set up his own garage. He does all the work on my car that I can't do, and he is really very good, and more than reasonable on price  :smiley:

Brake fluid change £59, when I went couple of weeks ago they offered deal on full aircon service if I had that done with brake fluid change total would be £99 :) full aircon service is normally £79
That was at VW Shrewsbury
