Bloody hell that is so wrong..the seats are wrong wheels are wrong it's a young uns car and they don't do a thousand miles a year unless he just got given it by Nan ...
Oi! Less of the young un tar brushing

In my opinion it's worth what someone is willing to pay, i've had lots of interest on mine even though its not even for sale and lots asking me to let them know if i ever sell it before putting it up for sale. Not long back a 66k mile mint original atlas grey 8v one went for £6500 and i've seen a few with 45-52ish k miles on up for 8-10k and selling (for what end sum i do not know)
Damien has been right, in the way he's looked at this, i'm guessing assuming this car would be as mint as your own when you picked it up? And Ken, you've been right in the way you looked at it, assuming it hadnt been a loved for and cherished example and needs work? We're all on this forum for our love of the VW Golf, no need for disputes

Others also seem to be forgetting that not everyone wants a 'fast' car, therefore 8v/16v doesnt matter, and if thats what i personally wanted from a car i'd not be buying a mk2 golf at all!
