Depends... It's hard to say without having any pic's or history to work on...

But if you wanted to keep it totally OEM & looking like a car that's only done 25K that there are issues with the brakes...

So new brake pipes & calipers all round, new window seals, new grille and lights and head lights etc - and no doubt sorting out other issues that have been bodged in its 20+ years of history... despite it only having 25K...

That's not a grands worth, think you are a tad misguided

Where do you get All this pile of pants from???? Maybe a Brake problems on barn find but this is no barn find car it has been regularily serviced...my brakes are original and sound,The pads have been replaced I must admit.. my brake pipes are excellent... My grill is as new, my headlights I have cleaned and they sparkle, how an earth does lack of use require a plastic grill to be replaced, my window seals are like new and their seems to be a total lack of bodging...Crikey why the low mileage hatred??? Mine has had at some point a new water pump alternator and other items associated with a 23 year old car, it drives like a two year old car tight smooth and no rattles..

Chill out M8....

Seems like you haven't bought any new parts lately....

I would love a Low mileage car - but not by buying one at a premium and then facing the replacement issues that will come with owning it!

My knowledge comes from having a very good m8 who own's a VW specialist garage, and owns (as I said earlier) a low mileage Syncro that he has just put back on the road... and I have had to supply him stacks of parts that you now can't buy from the dealers anymore...

To "him" they are free parts as we swap his man hours for my parts..

I would also say that I own an Audi S2 with 82K on the clocks that I've owned from 1995 and I'm now selling it despite saying I was always going to keep her no matter what happens...

But she is now up for sale and despite the low mileage no one will buy here because the mileage is too low for them and they know what work is required to sort her out - despite her being laid up for 6 years and garaged....

If you think MK2 parts are hard to find try getting any for an S2!!

Trying to chill but you don't listen... I bought a 33k mile car nearly four years ago.. I have done 1400 miles in that time. I have serviced it once, pads changed, A couple of oil changes, digi set up check and replaced the coolant when I bought a shiny new header tank as old one was brown... That is the total of my Mechanical expenditure..... I  have not  spent the thousand pound plus you insist is needed to keep a low mileage car.all of my expenditure is normal and due to the low use mileage it is a lot less than most others in four years
Your comments are misguided and anecdotal yet you continue to slag off low mileage cars.....how can I chill M8

Sorry to here that I am sure for the sake of 50 quid you would have bought it, maybe next time if you are lucky, will be looking to see if it appears on one of the "classic" dealer rip off sites soon....Is it still viewable??. keep an eye on car and classics, some great stuff comes up on there

He might not have missed out by a few quid Ken. You of all people ought to know how ebay works. The buyer could have bid £10k with 2 seconds to go.

It sounds like a steal at that price. There was an F reg Monza 16V that had one owner, full service history and 26,000 miles sold local to me recently. I've got a feeling that was offered on Pistonheads for £10k or thereabouts and finally sold for £7.5k.

I'd love a low mileage one. Even though mine's an original, one owner car, it's still done 160k. If it had done 60k, I think I'd use it more as I'm mindfull of the mileage getting too high.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Ken

I have asked my mate to give a link if he can, it is not like eBay,it was a traders only event online for dealers obviously :embarassed:

If I get one I will happily upload for everyone to view.

Thanks
