mk3 golf vr6, a hot hatch?

I accidentally put super unleaded in the other day at £1.48 a litre

When I first used super unleaded it was £0.84 and people said I was mad paying that for petrol 

I said I'm using it now before it gets expensive

Following on from many threads, I have been up to the loft today and found my Autocar road test year books, the figures make interesting reading, the figures that Autocar record are much more accurate than manufactures figures by the way.

Exactly ...A whole second to 60! and the 16v wasnt exactly slow!

Really, I never classed the 16v as being quick.

And wasnt slow back then.

i love driving in my vr6, ive owned the clio sport trophy and the integra type r dc2(gay DM model) and i just love how practical and smooth the vr6 is, in a straight line the vr6 wont be far off those 2, but its far more comfy

Correct...a cruiser...not a hot hatch, in the same vein as other early-mid 90s hot hatches were.
Sure it was quick in a straight line...but it didn't 'do' corners very well...hardly ticking the 'hot hatch' box there, was it?

In my view...not a hot hatch in the true sense.

oh,but your wrong,it was MORE than a hot hatch! hot hatch + style+comfy+badge!
And it all depended who was driving!
