For you, I would just get a 90 degree elbow for where the kink is

Thanks, I have one of them. I will do that sometime today and will say later on if it makes a difference or not to the power.

Wont do anything to the power, itll just let it breath better

your right there, I just used a 90' elbow and sorted it, and there is no power difference.

any1 got any pics of the connection to the oil filter after install by any chance

cheers, was just confused as to how the new hose attaches to the sump breather but managed to work it out, (retain 90 degree elbow as shown in http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=188473.0.

also could the original Y breather pipe be used as a T piece, got an AGU myself, gona do this soon, just need some suitable breather pipe/fittings etc

That is if you have 19mm catch can ins and outs or fittings

its just one pipe comes off the breather you then use the t piece one end goes to the can other end goes to rocker then the pipe on the right goes from your can to your hockey puck take a look at my pic its really simple 

if you dont have 19mm fittings just use reducers just before the pipe reaches the can so it will go from 19mm into 16mm reducers

thanks again guys, so the OEM stuff is all 19mm ID am i right., kit seems a good deal.
my catch can has 15mm fittings, i was just gna buy 15mm ID pipe and use that. use reckon i wud be better sticking to 19mm and just use reducers.

Yeah use as little 15mm pipe as you can with a 19mm to 15mm reducer.

I struggled to find 15mm stuff so went with 16mm instead and all working perfect.

thanks , did u mean 19mm pipe , also i dont think the sizing would matter ie wether its 15/19 pipe, or does it ?

No I meant 15mm

The original pipework is 19mm so 95% of mine with the catch can is 19mm.
I had to use a reducer 19>16mm so I could attach the pipe to the catch can.

Your problem will be connecting 15mm to the 19mm rocker cover, hockey puck valve and oil filter housing pipe, Youl need 3 reducers there if you want all 15mm pipes.  (Which will look sh!te imo)

Your better off using 19mm all round and only use reducers if you have a 15mm inlet/outlet on your catch can.

it does so m8 thanks alot, 19mm pipe it shall be, is the cheap silicon stuff advisable or would i be better with some kind of EPDM/rubber material, as long as its for oil vapour etc .

oh n also, obv the half a metre of 16mm u referred to earlier, was just for attaching the catch can to the reducers, just clarifying things
