I got a ko4-001 i think its the same as a ko3-s, wee bit better and a lovely amount of boost and it boosts up quickly not much lag! :)
Golf GTI ... What else would you have?

K04-001 is a good turbo but 300hp is a bit of a push better with a k04-023 or hybrid etc

R-tech custom remap - k04-001- 250bhp/311ftlb

"Project track car" has begun

Best turbo is hybrid k04. Stock k04 with mods will get you 300 but you'll have to nail the arse off it. Hybrid running sensible boost will give you a much better drive.

Get a ride in a Garret type turbo'd car, such as a GT28RS, and a ride in a hybrid turbo'd car and decide which you like best. One will make the power easier but one will have a bit less lag/accelerate a bit easier off the line. That will make it your decision, not everyone elses.
Where are you? I can give you a ride in a GT28 turbo'd car if you are nearby.
