Used ED35, what's it worth?
« on: 13 June 2012, 09:11 »
Had a brief look at a used ED35 yesterday at my local dealership.

Do you think this is a good price and what do you think I could beat them down to?

Also regarding my car, details as sig. below (with monza shadow alloys) what do you think the trade price would be? Done 40k now.

Just toying with the idea of changing the car at the moment

I'd take your £29k and spend it on a brand new M135i.....

Not that much, I'm paying less for mine new than that, see my sig for spec!

I wouldn't pay more than 27k for that car.

+1 I didnt pay that much for mine new either. 26-27k is about right for this one.  Looks just like mine

Ref yours I wouldn't want to speculate on trade in all depends on dealer and if they know you etc. From memory I got £17.5k for my CW 59 plate Sept 09 5dr DSG with leather Sat Nav sunroof Monza shadows F&R parking sensors and bluetooth with 26k on the clock, was scratch and dent free. No doubt VW will insult you if you ask for a trade in value.

That's the trouble when you've got a px they might give you there's for 28k and not 2k off your trade in but ive only traded in once so not experenced. I'd just give it a try and see what happens and prepare for the worst and walk away if your not happy. Nice car tho.
GTI manual PP, now sold  :-(

why would you buy a used ED35 when you can have brand new one loads of spec candy white much better alloys than those things you see on that, got to say they look like Fisher Price to me awful. Brand spanking new at 30k

8000 miles already on that car .
