the boot mess is the wax they put inside to stop it rusting. it melts on very hot days and runs

Or maybe its because MK2's are held together with a mixture of plasticine and wood glue..

And when they moved onto the mk3 they decided a fully welded hull, like the liberty bells, was the way forwards

did anyone manage to find out if the mk2 1.6 driver had an adjustable clutch? help - i need this clutch problem sorting!!! everything else is done xxx

Not sure, the clutch is hydraulic on the mk3, not sure if it is on the mk2 tho, will look in my haynes manual if i remember when I get home
