the boot mess is the wax they put inside to stop it rusting. it melts on very hot days and runs :(

And when they moved onto the mk3 they decided a fully welded hull, like the liberty bells, was the way forwards :tongue: :wink:

did anyone manage to find out if the mk2 1.6 driver had an adjustable clutch? help - i need this clutch problem sorting!!! everything else is done xxx

surely the clutch is just a cable....that u can adjust  :huh:

Not sure, the clutch is hydraulic on the mk3, not sure if it is on the mk2 tho, will look in my haynes manual if i remember when I get home
