I reckon with two people you'd have an ABF running in a late MK3 (late cause pedal box).

Then the next day you'd have it finished.

How can you tell if your mk3 is an early or late model? As mine is a let 95 model but had square indicators

Yes but after you declare it insurance will probably be more given the nature of engine conversions

Actually quite possibly not.  Insurance companies tend to take an average of the insurance group, so it may well be lower than a standard GTI.

Hardly worth the effort though.

they class it as a modification.. it will go up more.. id deffo check first

we have had issues, not quite the same but..

direct line and about 15 other companies wouldn't insure my dads car no longer because we converted it to AUQ (180 BHP mk4 Annie engine and box)) from 2.0 8v

the only company that would touch it was Adrian flux, however the price was same as he was paying on the 2.0 engine

I also had the same problem when i did mine, as did my mate whoc mk4 we converted from 1.8 non turbo to 1.8T

will be late, they have bigger brakes (usually - not always)

biggest tell tale is the clocks tho, show me a pic of your clocks and ill tell u

also where is the diagnostic port ?
