I know brad loves his 16v box but I would seriously recommend getting a box with taller ratios such as the box from a mk3 diesel. The 16v box is designed for 16v engine which has relatively low torque, whereas the diesel box is much more suited to a turbo engine which has a lot more torque and really thrives with the longer gears

your choice but I'd suggest looking into more info on gearbox choice as its quite an important part of your set up :)

I thought the ABF o2a and the AUM o2j had the same ratios? Wouldn't that mean its quite suited for the turbo? I do like your idea though, Only thing im struggling on ATM is gearbox and how to set up the mounts. As in whats needed for it, do you need to weld new brackets on also?

Brad has also said he is fitting a VR6 FD to lengthen the gearing. 3.68 to 3.3 IIRC.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.
