What throttle body have you got now? Is it cable driven or wire (electronic)?
No point going through the effort of swapping from one to the other.

If your asking which engine is best throttle body and ancillaries aside then it depends, what sort of power are you aiming for? There's no one engine code that's best for every scenario.

I would say no to Bam or Auq being the ultimate 1.8t, it's a small port head and if one was to try build a quarter mile drag car they would have no use for the standard Bam internals, VVT, standard management or k04 and they would want a large port head instead.

As I said, no one engine code is absolutely superior in every scenario. I do not believe the above scenario is true of the OP, that's why I would suggest he just chooses the engine with the same type of throttle body as what his one is now.

Electronic or cable. An average person doing the conversion on their drive does not want to buy a 1.8t to find it is drive by wire (electronic) when their car originally came with cable operated throttle body. It's not a case of just swapping over the throttle bodies.

It has electronic as I found out when I asked aRd to see if I could have cruise in. Not sure at what power really. 300 would be awesome, just want more power If I'm honest. Something I can work on and build up to be a monster
