got eibach anti roll bars fitted today with adjustable drop links but drives side still catching over bumps in the road. my car has standard anni shocks with polo top mounts so its not stupid low. id say about 40mm ish.

wat do i need to do to stop this, the drop links are set short do i go longer or take the nut out so they go even shorter?

Sorted this now, cut drop links Down that's sorted the arb catching but I'm still getting a rumberling when cornering hard sounds like its from pass side any ideas?

I've got the same ARB fitted and even with short adjustable drop links, i had the same issue myself.  The only way I've been able to do a fix was to have the drop links cut down even more.  This involved cutting the stem at the bottom of the drop link (not the threaded top end), cutting off to the bottom of the threaded end and then welding it back up 'up side down' so you have the original threaded end at the bottom of the drop link to reconnect the two parts.

I now have better clearance and only occasionally, do I get a rub.  With the shape of the rollbar, you have basically to reduce the shorted drop link even further, to get the optimum clearance on the ARB.  There is a thread somewhere on here where somebody else has done the same, which is what I followed.

Cheers
Gregg

I have to say I was a little dissappointed myself that I had to do the additional work on the shorted droplinks.  Whislt the ARB can go lower because it has a bigger arch in it, I think it's more designed for a slight drop and improvement is ride because of increase size etc.

May be the right solution if you're going low, is to fitt a 4motion (TT I think also) ARB, as these go under the driveshaft.

hmmmm.......... :undecided:

The thread i think you are talking about was mine and Sib's, we cut our droplinks down to 3 1/2 inch center to center and allowed us a 60mm (ish) drop without any rubbing atall..

It is a pain that you have to modify but it does work..

I've explained this all to Rench in PM's

If anyone else is interested, ill try to get some pictures or find the original thread.

I have neuspeeds ARB.
No rubbing issues at all, aven when I was low, down near the bottom ot the koni coilovers.
Comes with adjustable droplinks too. Just seems easier all round, instead of cutting and welding etc. Not much help for you now, I know. Good luck with making it work!
