mine was lacking boost when first fitted i undone then done back up and was fine just luck me thinks  :grin:


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

Ill double check clips and if that doesnt work ill try a yellow spring, for the sake of £20. Cheers

Do you have an air compressor?

Pressure test it to be sure.

Got a compressor yeah, How do i test it? Not much cop with this type of stuff.

Do a bit of searching on here pal, basically you block off the boost tract at various points and pressurise it, any leakage you will hear/see ( if you are a tart like me and go round each joint with gas detector :grin:)

Wouldnt reccommend it though if you not confident, even at "low" pressures, you could damage the car or yourself if you dont do things correctly.

Can't see forge making a "new and improved" dv, with its own inbuilt fault  :grin:

I've been thinking about getting one. Is a diverter valve the same as a dump valve? I was also told by 2 mechanics dump valves are no good for the engine and can cause problems. What you lot think?

What you think about the Forge 008 then? No go or approved? I just read the sticky quite a good read.  They say a must on a mapped engine. Mines not mapped...YET!
