I'll bet that red still won't be an option! Unless it's one of the super expensive euro options.

I've, personally, never thought highly of or understood any of the Golf cabrio range, all except the mk1

Don't mean to offend anyone, this is my personal opinion

I have Cabrio history, A3 cab - nice car, but seriously flawed hood, and this is the same design. My advice don't touch it there will be lots of long term issues......

Also when you go topless you compromise on stiffness (fnar fnar), weight and hence handling. Thus a GTI cabriolet just isn't right.

When buying the A3 I went 1.8t (sweet motor) instead of 2.0t as the later just exposed the A3 chassis (wooden and flex on cab).

Saw one the first day of the new plate in red, it looked nice until the guy who was driving parked up and then got out; he was about 65 with dyed black hair and a pony tail!! WTF.  Looked a total minger.
