My wife had an Eos 2.0 TFSI sport for a couple of years and this is a great 2nd car. Tin top made it a good coupe and not like a pram. Didnt handle particularly well but it was good enough for a roof less wonder and was quick too having the GTI engine. A cheaper alternative would be diesel or 1.4 TSI version. A 3 year old one with an extended warranty (a must with that complex roof) wouldnt be too expensive. Never had any problems with it and was water tight.
Current: GTI Edition 35 Candy White 5dr DSG 19" Glendale, RCD510+DAB, Dynaudio, Storage Pack, Parking Sensors

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

I actually quite like the Eos and could probably cope with that but must admit to have been put off by the many stories of roof leaks.

I think I could live with the stories of leaking when you can make it look like this;

There could be a few blushes as the ladies sink into that thing. Not to mention the fact that our lass would never get out again!!!
