Having had a MK6 for 2.5 years and picked up my ED35 last week I know which I prefer. Both are great cars but the ED35 is more fun. I always missed my ED30 but now I finally have the replacement.

If you are worring about running costs and still want the image go for a GTD, the engine characteristics linked with DSG would be ideal for London.
Current: GTI Edition 35 Candy White 5dr DSG 19" Glendale, RCD510+DAB, Dynaudio, Storage Pack, Parking Sensors

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

Flying Haggis, who have you been phoning to get updates? Dealer or vw cust serv? In my experience I've found or tho my dealer kept me up to date with the status of my car I found the vw cust serv gave me more info....they usually give a estimated time on when your car shud get on a ship and also when it's on there they again will give a estimate on when it will be docking in either Grimsby or sheerness....ect ect
