it takes longer than 30 seconds just to explain what a fuel trim is in non-techy terms

I spent 7 hours face to face, on phone, on facebook and via text trying to explain Danny at dynodaze next door about fuel trims and maf issues... only to get at the end of it.. "I cannot see how resetting a merc 128bhp 2.0 petrol ecu and running it back to back a dyno will lose power"

and you know how ott I used to be trying to explain and get my point across..     Infact you used to take the pee out of me.. :embarassed:

Its not our mapping going down hill or customer support, its just we are spending more time on the rolling road with each car and less time chatting while working.  In the past customers could come in to the workshop and stand close and chat, but due to H&S issues and liabilty policy issues

 This brings back memories of how my foot got broken

I didn't mean to sound harsh or anything, I especially didn't want to give R-Tech a bad name. I'm more than happy with my map and will probably be back for stage 2 eventually  I think it's the fact I read on here that you had spent hours with people explaining every detail ect and it didnt happen when I was there. So it wasn't what I expected that's all. However like I said your clearly extremely busy so it's more than understandable. The work is great which is all that matters.

Some people fall asleep when I start or stand there plain face nodding..lol  I can go ott with my theads and trying to explain stuff.   But on the other hand it seems people what me to educate them and point them in the right direction or explain in not technical terms whats going on..

I have just resliased my fault/flaw  I have been here for a few years now and in my head I expect members to understand and know what I have said in the past, old members have read and been part of topics where I have gone ott in to detail ect.. and understand the 1.8T or I expect them to, So I have got it in my head there is no real need for the old R-Tech Nick chit chat with every customer,

Now it seems I am expecting new members / VAG owner to know as much as the rest of the froums, Its as if I have moved one with the times and the older forum members forgetting the newbies need my pet talks and insprations and direction.

In my head its just repetitive info and everyone knows and dont wanna know, from the basics why use v-power, why use a 007p, whats a leaking PCV, whats a fault code, whats vcds and what do I need to do for stage1 ect (whats a remap will it blow my engine up?)

I am glad this topic popped up it has highlighted that I need to have my old enthusiasm telling every one there rights and wrongs and telling them the best way to go and how to get there.     At the end of the day its the enthusiasm which got the R-Tech name out there, not just the maps.

I find my self on other forum like SSSforum, SSS facebook, ASN and tuner forums going more in depth with the understanding they dont know and I need to get my point across.

I will take on board all comments..... and if I dont shut up, bang on too much or confuse the feck out for you then you know what to do............. blame the OP.
