Nice car.

Mudflaps are for trucks.

The only bit of the car that needs protecting is the front.

Had them on my mk4 and mk5, useless and look naff.
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.
GTI no. 4. Golf no. 5.  VW no. 7.

Car looks very nice, but now you have insulted the female section in the forum by thanking the lads only
:embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :shocked:oooooops sorry ladies. Will I ever be forgiven?

Anything is possible, loads and loads more pics would help and some internal ones too then I for one may be driven to forgive and forget.  Can't get enough pics of GTIs on here you know.   Seriously though, your car does look very nice indeed.

Looks spot on. The wheels look so much nicer without the swollen ED35 bumper.

Thanks pal; 5 door = family  2 door = far more sporty
Drove/tested GTD and GTI and to be honest I wasn't particularly favouring one or the other. Chose GTI for its more aggresive looks (twin pipes) and that lovvvvely deep throaty engine noise :smug: :smug: :smug: Can't wait to "run it in properly" and then I can GIVE IT SOME!
1st ever GTI. awesome!.....and getting better all the time!

Yeah yeah yeah....funny ha ha
And here's another of my fave songs; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkfVk1_lm7k&feature=related

As it happens, after yesterday's motoring, and this morning's motorway jaunt, I had to "give it a quick swill" at lunchtime. Then my mate says; "Take me for a spin" so off we goes again................
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and had I known we would get stuck behind a vintage bus chucking out smoke, oil and general sh**, I can assure you all , I would never, ever ever have taken him out!

A little bit of self indulgence for a moment;
For those who have been following my GTI story, it's thanks to dear old dad's inheritance that I can afford one.
He was always far more into his horses and carriage. He always said he prefered to go "anywhere" with his horses as they were FAR MORE RELIABLE than any motor car  ah bless him.
He always said they were cheaper to run than a car and a woman, as they already had fur coats and never answered him back!

Took the new motor to "see" dad today.......

And here he is with his "favoured" mode of transport. RIP old mate.
