and has anyone else noticed that you ALLWAYS need new windscreen wipers :rolleyes: :grin:

Most wipers out there on peoples cars are substandard. It doesn't take long for them to deteriorate. Winter kills them.

money making ploy. You can do it yourself with vagcom anyway.

the whole point of the excercise is to let the vw ppl let me know whats up so I can fix it when i see fit
:), they can stick there quote for parts n stuff n stick them wr the sun dont shine fr all i care.

The problem is they find "faults" with things that dont really need doing ie :

 "Your brake discs are worn X amount below manufacturer's specifications and have a lip in the edge",

 which is probably true comparing it to a brand new disc but x amount below is normal for any part worn disc and depending on your mileage they will probably be fine for years.  :smiley:
