I wouldn't even appeal if it's not council owned. Ignore it, they can't get your details.

Ant, private companies can get your details from the DVLA, they will sell them!

I was told they can't, as anyone could then pay for your details. But all the same, if they do, don't respond and confirm your details are correct.

Unfortunately they can and they do but they can't be bought by anyone !

Unscrupulous = anyone.

Completely agree but thats the way it is at the moment !

I had something similar... I phoned the company up and told them I found a ticket on my passenger seat in the morning. However I had not been driving the car the night before.

She told me I had to pay the fine as it was on my car. I argued that it wasnt issued to me and a group of friends had borrowed the car.

I was told I would have disclose who was driving.. when I asked he under which law that was, she didnt have an answer. I swiftly told her to stop sucking balls.

Never heard anything since
haha, thats how you play the game..

Was gunna say bud, i could tell where you had parked and the machine is on the bottom floor in the middle

Yeahh, i dont even use the lift. Pritty stupid really

Think il take some pictures, showing no machines anywhere.. then if i go to civil court for not paying. I show them that theirs no way of paying anywhere, how am i ment to pay when theirs no machines anywhere and how am i ment to know theirs a machine on the bottom floor in a shop when im on the top floor leaving...

Agreed, just ignore it.

I once got a parking fine when I parked the car in the private car park belonging to the block of flats I actually lived in at the time.  They claimed I was in a no parking zone and started sending me letters demanding money.  I replied, with photographic evidence, to show I was several metres from any signs that even vaguely resembled no parking signs, therefore had done no wrong.  They replied stating their case again, so again I replied stating that there is nothing to indicate I shouldn't have parked there.  They replied and said that there was a dark coloured brick pattern in the road which represented a turning circle, which I had blocked, apparently dark red bricks mean no parking it's a turning circle?  :undecided:  Replied again and told them to check the highway code, as it was absolute nonsense.

A while passed and I received a letter with HUGE RED WARNING WRITING stating they may take legal action if I did not pay.  Naturally I sent another letter back, also in huge red writing, saying that I had no intention of paying.

I moved not long after and never heard off them again anyway

I just completely ignored all three letters which I have scanned somewhere.

Two of those.

Then some big FINAL NOTICE.

I wanted to sarcastically reply and argue blah blah but I just ignored it so as to not confirm I live there.

I'd imagine I got a few in the Micra but that car wasn't registered to me.  :lipsrsealed:
