I wouldn't even appeal if it's not council owned. Ignore it, they can't get your details.

That's a ticket on the road, not a multistorey which probably isn't council owned.

If it's the council on a public highway, usually you don't have a leg to stand on, and can only appeal.

Private land it only a civil offence, usually breach of contract.  The "parking enforcement company" can only get money from you by winning its case in the County Court.  At this point a judge will tell them to "do one" as e.g the £175 fine for a few minutes overstay will be unreasonable.

As the Coucil parking ticket is a legal doucumet, if the details are incorrect then it is invalid.  However they may get around this by producing a photograph.  You could get the fine reduced or thrown out on appeal.

Does not matter.....if it's privately owned then write back to them offering to pay the extra £1. Then if they do take you to court the offer will look good in your defence. I had one some time back and did this and heard nothing back apart from the company trying to bully me into paying up. Just ignore it and they will give up after a few letters.
