Mate rang me on the way over unit today.....'Ive had a change of plan; you'll see when you get here.'

Shell was going to get prepped and painted.  Whipped round with the DA, touched a little dent or 2 up and primed.  Flatted down later after a brew, or 2 and onto masking up.

And freshly lacquered...

One of the wings done earlier in day too.

Well spotted.  Bit dented thats going to be a pain to repair so ill just swap the one off my runabout and paint it up sometime.  easier to repair a few stonechips on one bonnet that a huge one on another.

Few other updates to this..

Got a OMP corsica steering wheel off a mate..

Doors were primed

And I took the car home so I could work on it at home as mate was tight for space.

Started to remove the dynamat from the back (what a major PITA that is)

Picked up a R32 throttle body and silicone adapter off a mate for £85 posted.

eBay addiction seen me buy some NEW HEL carbon look braided lines (full set) for £25 posted.

Then spent 3 hours relocating ABS pump to the inner wing...

More looking on ebay seen my find a Audi TT mk1 quattro top mounted manifold, for a tial GT28 exhaust housing, came with lambda and EGT and for £115 it was a bargain as couldnt even buy the tial flange and 3" pipe for that as a tial flange is £50 alone!

I imagine it will be pretty close with my custom manifold so shouldnt need much altering, if any, to fit my setup.

And the latest addition to the parts collection was this black friday deal from Awesome GTi.
Forge supersize in new condition for £55 posted.  (ex display)

Picked engine and pistons/rods up from machinist today.

Had to get pins lightened due to a piston being 1/8th ounce (3.5grammes) lighter than the others :(

Also, subframe painted and quick rack installed.
