yeah i did mean the boost valve but as i thought its pointless mod, so ant1981 id see some change in accelration possibly? and the suspension i have is the Apex RDX i believe (yellow springs) came with her when purchased.

Also would a AUM conversion be seen as a non-original engine replacement? as its still a golf gti engine? (worth an ask) cheers!

You'd see a smoother better responce. A remap isn't necesserily just to gain loads of BHP, which is what alot of people seem to think it is. It'll smooth flat spots/rough spots out especially after any modifications.

its me again!! landed in a little money so going to try put this into gear...
Finally landed some rs8 alloys with brand new tyres 280!!! bargain!! fitted some DRL's just awaiting a nice day to wire them in!, have got designs for the interior as in head liner and centre console/dashboard!

i've decided to go with subtle modifications to the engine for now such as cold air induction, and a sportex exhaust system with race tube. this is purely to give the car a better sound, any power gain will be bonus as out of my age group I probably have the nicest and even quickest car as it stands.

Plans for future are to turn 20/21 then get hold of a AUQ or even a AMK block and drop in depending on insurance quote !!

Hi; I have a 1.8 Gti (n/a) [125bhp] and im now looking to push some power/torque from the engine;
my aim is to get her remapped but before that I wish to make some changes to get as much gain as possible.

I been told I can;
upgrade to green-top injectors,
K&N air filter/ cold air induction kit,
Sport cat/ straight through exhaust, 
FSE boost gauge(this is a maybe),

If fitting the first 3 mentioned in opinions would I see much gain not as in bhp but in acceleration?
then the fact i would get the remap would this be beneficial? thanks !!

Whoever told you to fit a boost gauge is clearly a plank.

You have no boost to gauge.

Flog it and buy a 1.8T

Think he means FSE power boost valve
