2.9 rado CHW code? as the bhp on a 2.9 is 190 and me thinking CHW box will be just right (without a remap) or am i just talking bubbles?

VR6 box will not fit due to different bellhousing

i know what you mean kells. LSDs start about the £700 mark? all they do is limit spinning the wheels??? what other benefit do you get from an LSD?
also which other box will fit the AMK/BAM engine? 2.9 rado CHW code? as the bhp on a 2.9 is 190 and me thinking CHW box will be just right (without a remap) or am i just talking bubbles?

An LSD basically transfers the torque to the wheel with the most grip as oposed to a normal diff which does the exact opposite. So as you can imagine, the power gets laid down a LOT better with an lsd because rather than just throwing more power through an already spinning wheel and costing you a tyre it transfers it to the other wheel, once that starts losing traction and the other starts gaining then it switches again

tbh unless you go mental power like kells you will be fine with a 16v box, you just need to be aware that planting your foot will get you wheel spin in 1st and 2nd, and 3rd if its wet or you are giving someone a good thrashing

What's happens with throttle cable can it still be used or do you have to go drive by wire?
Also is it a lot easier to start with a 16v? That way could you just remove engine and leave gearbox in.

After a while, the spinning and not really getting anywhere gets boring and high cruising revs in 5th points to gearbox mods.

depends which way you go, Qpeng and you need a sh!tty cable and GTI TB, go for a early 20VT like a AGU, and you need to go cable as thats what these were

later engines were the better DBW... this is much better, but you need the accelerator pedal off the donor car as you have to wire it into the loom to the ECU
