Let me know Nick.  I dont really want mate to be running 300bhp+ on it and becomming totally unreliable.

Mates also after a set of rods for his....What you reccommend for a AGU?

Might be interested in the block if the right price.

It depends what it was though.  Could be a contribution from a number of things really.

I push the AGU blocks to 320bhp on stock rod, people say 350bhp but I am happy to stay within the safe window.   I have not issues with my THS rod, the have took stupid amount of torque and close on 400bhp,  The Leon AUQ GT35 stage5 trim we are working on has a set of £1500 arrows rod fitted...lol a bit over kill but its going to be running 2.2bar at 8000rpm 570-600bhp

Surely that depends on the torque though?

I was on about the my old block and not the block you are getting.  Running big power though a engine thats failed doesnt seem the best idea to me!

this is what i found in my oil with my old engine

only when i poured the oil out the pan and the light hit the metal as it all rolled down the pan could you see it all in there

when i looked at my exhaust manifold and the head then i had trace wet oil on number two and three but mine was smoking oil lightly
