gone are the days of the 8v and rocker arms, could take them out with the cam in place...

Any obvious damage on them?

No obvious signs of wear at all. 

We cleaned tappet out today and swapped it to other side of head....gonna rebuild it tomorrow see what happens

Well, problem narrowed down with the noise moving to other side of the engine.

Starting to think raised limiters on them arent the best of things!  6800rpm is enough by looking at the dyno plot!
