wishbones on a 1.4
« on: 22 October 2011, 18:53 »
How do you get the pivot bolt out of the wishbone on the 1.4 drivers side? Theres only an inch gap if that between the bolt and the sump, is it a sump off job? seems a bit extreme just to change the wishbones the others all all so easy!

cheers

no pics as it isn't mine, 1.8t in mine also :P

Its a mates car been round his all day helping but it was just one problem after another, someone who worked on the car before him has done a number on pretty much every bolt we needed to undo, either rounded off or snapped. The only thing that wasn't knackered was the wishbone bolts but we cant get them off because of the sump, which we cant get off as one bolt snapped and one is rounded

managed to cut out one of the struts though

If I go round again in the next couple of days I'll get a pic
