Of course they are

Hang on though, this is cheaper?

Maybe the boxster offers a completely different drive and ownership experience of the 911? I wonder if its just people who have driven neither of them have no real idea and have ignorant views?

Lovely car to drive. But those who know Porsches will always think to themselves "Couldn't afford a 911".

Ignore them.

However, do your research thoroughly and get any potential purchase inspected. Porsches can make you bleed money...

I would buy one, but I'm not one who cares what other people think. Point proven with my current car

I was looking at getting the same boxster as you a while back, mainly 2.7, also looked at the 350z as I like the look of them. Only to find out the 350z is slow as fack and the box has the ugliest cheap a$$ interior. You can get more car for that money so don't settle for it!

05plate 911 v 11 plate boxster .... great comparison Jules  (think that proves the point its a poor mans porsche)

They do drive well... but I couldnt get over the cheap a$$ looking interior. I also felt like i was waiting to be squashed in that cabin.. far too small for my liking.. and everytime you think there is something wrong with it porsche will give you all the joy you need

I would go with the s2000, z4 or m3..
