Its exactly the same as a GTI except it has 35 logo on wheel arch, And horrible wheels, Fail You'de be crazy not buying an R over one of these my 2 cents
Well it is a GTI after all
Quote from: carl1 on 10 December 2011, 11:44Well it is a GTI after all+2k Pricetag, Which is 2k short of a Golf R Now when you consider 2k gives you 4wheel drive 40bhp and the extra's that come standard over the GTI, It just doesn't make sense. People who got the best deal on the GTI bought one pretty much as the order books opened. Before the VAT rise and VW's price increases.

R is £3895 more than ed35, ed35 is £2220 more than gti and has 18 " alloys standard ( will cost you £470 on gti) xenons (£1160 on gti) also extra power and bodykit, so if you like them extras it aint too bad imo.
^^^^Yes thats a personal decision but me personally i can afford a R but going over that nearly £31k barrier is a bit too much for a golf.P.s looking at your spec i hope you didn't personally buy that new or nearly new else you may has well brought a R if you did spend that kind of money
