Just out of interest, anyone mapped one of these yet? I imagine it will give the same 300hp kick in the back as the Edition 30 (same lump after all), but there's always the hope of more

To be honest apart from the price, which I think I could get a deal on one, the main thing that put me off the UK spec ones is, you don't get the EU spec half leather, the full leather is horrible, and looks far too all black.

Otherwise I too would have gone for a red 3 door as above.

We were also going to get that interior until VW UK in their wisdom decided to put full leather into all GTIs.  Big mistake as far as I'm concerned, probably enough to put me off buying an Ed35.   The "standard" Ed35 interior looks far more "special edition" than the full leather.

I would have prefered full cloth and without the 35 logo.

The other option is full cloth but with 35 recessed in the headrest rather than GTi, super stealth style.

Why oh why they thought full leather would be a more better option........

yep in the headrest would have been good, i supose leather looks better vfm, their must be some people out their who prefer leather as plenty gti's have leather. I hated my half leather in my ed30 i would rather have cloth over full leather and full leather over half leather imo. Half leather just remind's me of 80's 205 gti and various renault's cheapo efferts (not that vw's full leather is all that but it has improved a bit over the leather in the mk5)  imo

Even owning one, id agree with those who prefer the half leather!
