There are faster cars, more refined cars......
However, I've just ordered my second mk6 gti after having a mk5. Difference from mk5 to mk6 felt quite a lot to me.
I considered the a5 sportback as my dad has one. Beautiful car, just very different drive altogether. Gti feels like a go kart in comparison.

Having driven quite a few A5's and sportbacks (2wd) I agree, when you say they drive "different" do you mean "unless your slowly cruising around they are not good, struggle for grip and when pushed hard everything goes to sh1t"?

I loved my mk5 gti, it was so well balanced, I'm not sure the mk6 is quite as perfect as a drivers car but in all other ways it's better, quieter, trim is a good deal better etc
Go drive the cars you want and give them a good seeing to if that's your thing
