noise from suspension, what to try next
« on: 24 August 2011, 22:40 »
I've been getting a kind of knocking noise (cant think of a better word) coming from my front wheels/suspension. So far I've changed top mounts, wishbones, balljoints, and drop links. What else can I try, what started as a mild annoyance is starting to drive me mental!

cheers :)

Depends if its inner or outer. Inner is much easier, have a look at recent threads regarding hub puller/cv joints etc..........

My inner cv boot was gone so instead of faffy about getting a new boot and haviing to take cv joint off drivrshaft and putting it all back together and back on the car I just bought a full driveshaft including fitted cv joint on ebay for £20 lol.
Just had to unbolt from transmision flange and knock other end out of hub and just swap them over.
Cost about the same as a boot kit and I now have spares lol.
