Toad AI606 Extra LED??

i just got a LED for a Clifford Alarm (G5 Thinks), I want to know what is the output voltage from the toad unit for the LED? the Clifford LED is 3 volts

no idea what it is,

but if you already got the toad fitted i would pull the led out and check it with my multimeter to see what voltage it was running,

most are 12v tho

found out from MR TOAD, that the voltage depends on what mode the alarms in (4v-12v) i think thats what he said. so im in middle of soldering a 12v resistor to the + side.

The toad AI606 comes with an armed output that puls to ground when you arm the alarm that u can use for an LED get 1 from Maplins and ask em for a suitable resistor so it doesn't burn out, they do them in just about every colour, and if i were u i'd go for a wide angle LED.
All you do is put 12v feed to one side of the led and conect the other side to the alarm.

all toad and clifford leds are 2 volt you can make a 2 volt led work with the addition of a resistor but i cant'think off hand what value the resistor needs to be

sorted it, got a 12v flashing blue LED from ebay, connected it up to the LED wire from the unit and a constant live feed and presto farkin bright!! :cool:
