I'm noticing that this thread is pic' light. :lipsrsealed:

I did drive it out the garage while sat on a bucket

Pic's or it never happened :lipsrsealed:

Seriously though 15yrs from an interior isn't bad going. What goodies arrived in the post?

Got all sorts of new stuff to go on.

Off the top of my head:

Headlights
Door Pins
Foglights
Bonnet Lifters
Number plate lamps
Window mech and motor
New switch for turbo
Bee sting
Big bumper side brackets

Been messing about with the leather repair kit on and off all weekend, takes a massive amount of patience but I think its gonna turn out really well.

The seat was worse than I remembered

Anyway, after putting a patch underneath and glueing together, you have to build up the leather filler paste layer by layer as its really thin. It takes about three hours to dry each layer, I did try and speed up the process with a hot air gun but it started to crack so a no go. Anyway, I am up to about 6 layers now and its very nearly there. I did dye it black to see what it looked like after the last layer and it looked really good, decided to persevere now I know the end result is going to be decent.

Anyway, layer 6ish is drying now (sure the fact that its cold outside isn't helping!)

I am chuffed!

The kit I bought had a pot of black dye and matting and glossing additives depending on leather finish, mixed a tiny bit of each together (for satin finish) - it goes a long way.

Sanded with 1200 to prep, then used a small paintbrush to paint over the repair paste and put some on a sponge to do the rest of the bolster to blend in.

First time I've tried this, patience is the definitely the key....

Amazing work on the leather... not often you see work like this on here..  Only noticed a similar thread once where repair work was done and then re-coloured from grey to tan.. before then I didn't really think this kind of work was possible.
