Amazing work on the leather... not often you see work like this on here..  Only noticed a similar thread once where repair work was done and then re-coloured from grey to tan.. before then I didn't really think this kind of work was possible.

You cant find that thread can you? I would be interested to have a read!

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Thanks for all the positive comments on the seat repair, it turned out really well...

Just a quick update, just been sanding, sanding and more sanding. Found a little more filler work is needed but nothing major.

If anyone has a spare drivers side wing mirror for a mk2 then I may be interested (I may have another somewhere), found the one I took off months ago smashed...

That's a bugger about the mirror.

58psi ftmfw

Are you going to fit a limited slip diff'?

Right, I'm off to go and do something useful...

The 16vt is borderline needing an LSD, I would like one but dont need one.

No LSD, my car used to eat gearboxes, I blew the diff pins in a couple of boxes, then got a box rebuilt with bolted diff and that only lasted a bit longer than a standard box (and cost about 10x as much!). Then went with a mk3 box and its been ok for longer than all the other boxes put together. Famous last words!!!

What clutch do you run caistor_bmx? Mines a Helix Autosport . What's happening with your Golf now?

Not too fussed about the mirror, they are cheap and plentiful enough for it not to be a problem....

Cheers Ken

I haven't been able to spend as much time on it recently as I would of liked because of work but it will get there....
