Engine light after installing 007p
« on: 12 July 2011, 15:51 »
Hi all the engine light came on when i was driving the other day. I thought it meant it was due a service? I have replaced, pollen filter, oil etc so would i be right in thinking i should just clear it as i only have the 17705 code iirc (the one that everyone gets )

The car is running fine but the same thing happened on my old 2.0 and it tied in with the service ??

thanks :afro:

Usually a seperate warning for service, the orange engine light is probably your code.

17544 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean

This means while the car it on idel the fuel system is running lean, the fuel will be running open loop from the maf readings and being trimmed by the closed loop system of the lambda sensor, which means you have a air leak of some kine somewhere.

If you can check blocks 32 you can see how bad in is in a %.
