Blank the hole on the tip and it will be perfect,  as long at the ecu knows the correct amount of air entering the manifold tract it's fine, its air drawn post maf which causes the issues with fuel trims. Just disconnect one of the small vacume pipes and see how much a 1.5mm id hole effects the air fuel ratios.

110% it will cause fuel trim issues, 02 readings will be all over the place, on idle the leak can draw air in to the exhaust and underload the oxygen will push out the gap which means the o2 sensor will have different lambda reading compared what is actually going on in the combustion chamber.

Cheers rtech, I did have a split hose I posted the link above. I only have a cheap £20 code reader so whatdo you Mean by block 32?  :undecided:

Cheers guys

Yer that can cause the add fuel trim fault code. Catch can mod needed me thinks :-)

Ant1981 and a couple others suggested that. Had a look and I'm still not entirely sure I know what it does? What's the advantage of having one over the hoses? And is it an easy to do lol.

My list of things to do is getting longer and longer by the week  I just want it running perfect so I can get the bloody thing remapped by u guys lol.

This is something that we can sort during a remapping session, we have loads of used pipes in stock

right cheers nick. Im going to buy some new hoses on ebay and get them out on then im going to sort out my bushes and a couple of small leaks i got. The next step i was looking at going with a 3" downpipe and sports cat? Would remapping before or after downpipe and cat make any differnece? Would i be abel to get it remaopped then add the cat etc or is it best to get the cat etc first?

Sorry for all the questions just want to tap into your vast amount of knowledge on mk4s :afro:
