I meant the cylinder bit of the gasket by the way,as in leaking from coolant 'hole/ring' in gasket into cylinder 'hole/ring' bit in gasket

I did give you an answer for why it couldn't given his symptoms.

Burt matrix is a sound shout if you can see no visible leaks.

Check the passenger foot well for dampness.

No its not. If the matrix was leaking you would have a visible leak. Wet carpet passenger or driver side, that would be visible.

No its not. If the matrix was leaking you would have a visible leak. Wet carpet passenger or driver side, that would be visible.

Only visible if you are inside the car looking for a leak......

Most would expect a coolant leak to manifest itself from the outside of the car.....

Just an idea but instead of trying to pick an argument with everyone on this new-comers thread, why not have a go at showing them how helpful we can be.....

Well I've not seen anyone pick arguments. But I've given answers from my own experience so that I can help the OP. If someone gives wrong information or feels as though they're not.being listened to, they shouldn't see it as a cue for an argument.

Thanks for all the comments, it turns out there is a leak where the water hose meets the radiator, so radiator was empty, it was why the water disappeared
Not so bad news in the end
