Sorry, i think your wrong, i've driven a lot of different cars over the past 22 years and a lot of properly fast stuff too, i haven't driven a 16v although i have a relative who has one so i'm going to get hold of him for a test drive, but my 8v feels good to drive, it's quick off the mark pulls really strongly through the gears and doesn't feel at all gutless.
16v v 8v yet again, well i think a lot depends on the driver and how well maintained the car is so i reckon there's not much in it for everyday driving on everyday roads.
