Im little bit confused as what to mpg to expect from an 8v but as i will be driving 13 miles each way to work and 10 of those will be dual carriage way im hope to at least get 35 mpg if i stick to near 70mph. I just dont want to sell my m3 and get something that only does 5mpg more but have almost a third less power lol. My other option i was think of is a mg zs or zr diesel as they are good on fuel but im not sure i want one of those or not but the L series diesel is bullit proof but i bit old hat.

Still petrol was about 50p per litre when I started

My 8v AGG is good on the motorway 40+, Crap around town 25 if im lucky.
I personally dont see point in owning a GTI or anything performance related if you are gonna worry about fuel and MPG so muchget a derv....
