Over that last 4 years driving my Mk5 TDI there were two flat tyres. Both on the rear of the car and I did not feel a thing. So both tyres were destroyed, but luckily not the alloys. Because of this - and because I often drive 500 miles in a week - I started checking my tyre pressures every weekend. So for me it was a no brainer to spec the Tyre Pressure Indicator. It should be standard equipment on GTI/GTD. It is only £35 ffs. It could stop a tyre and alloy being destroyed at a cost of nearly £300.
I ordered it. It is on emails with my dealer. My dealer says he ordered it. But it is not fitted.

I passed little remark when collecting the car as I thought it would be a simple retro fit. Now my dealer is telling me that it is not possible to retro fit the TPMS. He is saying that the ABS control units are different. A quick search here suggests that it is a simple retro fit.

Can a dealer retro fit the Tyre Pressure Indicator?
Thank you for any advice,
