Search? Thought this was a forum for discussion, not a database only.

Its been discussed hundreds of times already.  If it was a new question then no one would have asked the OP to search

If it wasn't for new people asking new questions to them, the place would be boring, really gripes me when people type "search function".How about being a little more helpful and perhaps post a link or two for the op to read!!!

Exactly. As if the question has been asked and answered many times over, then there should be no problem with answering the question.

Otherwise, make it a search only database, as somewhere along the lines, every issue people have with their golfs can be answered by using a search here, or elsewhere.

So where are your helpful links on the matter?

Well, I'm not the only person on this forum, plenty people know more than me about remaps, such as yourself, hence you beating me to posting a link.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

The bhp you are after is very easy to achieve and you can pick the parts up relatively cheap if your able to wait for them to come up on the forum or on the bay for a good price.. easiest way would be get you k03/s hybrid'd at somewhere like turbo dynamics or cr turbos etc.. but the best way is to replace with OEM parts that can handle that power this route would be the K04 turbo and manifold off the LCR or the S3 BAM or AMK or APY engine ?? if you fit this with supporting mods like a better intercooler.. colder spark plugs.. intake TIP.. few other bits and bobs you can easily see 260bhp.. if you get a donor engine its even better.. you can then strip all the better parts off like injectors coil packs etc..

you could go crazy and make it a very good engine.. polish and porting.. cams.. etc etc.. standard i would say just a remap to sort the flat spots out and make it more 'sportier' in feel..

also things like lighter clutch (from a mk3 ABF for example) and vr6 clutch setup will make the car feel quicker without actually giving any more power
20vt conversion, sig pic coming soon!
