Its been discussed hundreds of times already.  If it was a new question then no one would have asked the OP to search

If it wasn't for new people asking new questions to them,the place would be boring,really gripes me when people type "search function".How about being a little more helpful and perhaps post a link or two for the op to read!!!

Exactly. As if the question has been asked and answered many times over, then there should be no problem with answering the question.

Otherwise, make it a search only database, as somewhere along the lines, every issue people have with their golfs can be answered by using a search here, or elsewhere.

End power is gonna be limited by your determination and budget. Badger5s ibiza is now over 400bhp -not sure how much now- and caneys TT has just had a new engine producing over 500bhp. That is stroked to 2.0 I beleive. Thats over on SCN.
Mine is just a simple turbo conversion producing about 350bhp.
So easier to work out your budget first and see what you can do with it!

I think the post regardign R tech sums it up, theres a standard list whether you have AGU , AUM, AUQ ,BAM etc etc, that you need to buy to get your car to the correct power,,  people telling you you can get 220 bhp from 150 hp standard with just a 007p and remap are talking crap, takes a fair bit of time and money to see that 250 bhp figure that everyone seems to crave !
