Alloy Trouble
« on: 21 May 2011, 23:08 »
yoo, i recently bought some amg alloys for my mk4. basically i had to order pcd adaptors which was fine.

but i have one big big problem, the bolts wont fit through the hole on the wheel, and obviously i cant get smaller ones because they wont fit the thread on the hub. what do i do! i think i might have a go at drilling them tomorrow to get a bigger diameter in the wheel, then my bolts can fit through. i also need longer bolts. PAIN!

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked with the spacer supplier the they dont do a different adapter with the correct thread, even if I had to buy new bolts and spacers... I'd rather do that than drill/machine the wheels, check first! measure what size threads are required in the adapters!

Surely if they sell a set with the correct bolts, you could return the set you got and have the correct ones sent out to you?

merc bolts are smaller than dub, even if fitting onto a passat ( 5x112 same as merc )  people have issues ,
