Oh now i understand thanks for clearing that up......

adaptors dont come with wheel bolts just the bolts to bolt the adaptor on, lol. Alot of bolts..

so you are meant to use your own, which would be the ones off my golf, but they dont fit in the hole on the alloys, so i drilled them to make them 1 mm bigger, now the bolts fit great, they just aren't long enough.

dont know why everyone is sh!tting themselves about drilling wheels, grow some balls! its easy, try it!

You clearly don't have an engineering background do you?

Hope I'm not driving in the opposite direction when your dodgy home drilled alloy wheel comes flying off

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Seems mad to me that you have drilled the wheels, not the greatest of ideas is it really.

Sorry to rain on everyones parade but drilling out the wheel bolt holes, even up to about 3mm wont make a blind bit of difference, providing you didnt subject the alloy to any extreme heat when drilling then there shouldnt be a problem at all.
You can actually buy alloys with no holes in em at all that you just drill out yourself

Indeed, as long as you used a pillar drill sort of arrangement or had them on a lathe to ensure they drilled perfectly straight and true it shouldnt really be an issue.

Thankyou guys! I know what I'm doing I've seen it done plenty of times, I'll get some before and after pictures up soon. I drilled through an old socket so I made sure it was straight, the wheel goes on perfect, but it won't stay on very long as there's about 2 mm of the screw in the hub lol!
