Hmmm I don't think I'd bother with any of that, I always just thought remapping is an easy way (cos someone else does it for you

) of getting a few more bhp/torque/mpg and without putting any of the components under too much strain. I knew there wouldn't be much to gain from a non-turbo remap but apparently you can get 178 bhp and 154 lb/ft out of a remap of the abf engine... (128bhp and 129lb/ft for the 8v) Though strangely enough the 115 bhp 2.0 8v found in the cabrio started off with 125lb/ft instead of 120 and you can get more torque out of a remap
