Hi All,
I was going to post the problems in their own threads, but the amount of probs we have, might fill the whole site.?

Before people say we shouldn't of bought it, we got it at a steal, just needs some TLC!!
The wipers. The rear one doesn't work at all. I saw it on once, when faffing with the MFA, but it stopped and i've never got it on since. Also, the front wipers, when off, don't reset, they stop wherever they were when you turn it off. So it's taking timing to get them to sit at the bottom. Is this a simple problem to fix? Something a non-mechanically-minded chap can do?? I've gotta save some dosh, but obviously want it fixed.
What with the fuel leak recently fixed - eyes on fuel guage for a repeat of breakdown, eye's on MFA checking cool info and now eyes on the wipers, i'm not lOOking at the road much!? ?
Clutch. When i rest my foot on the clutch and when fully depressed, there's a scuffing noise. Someone was telling me it's the clutch release bearings. Is this serious? Worth fixing if it means gearbox out and wot-not??
Changing Panels. 2 doors and the tailgate are rusting, the TG especially bad. Think it's this weather up here in Irn Bru country!! Is it easy enough to change a door and tailgate? Anyone know of a (VW) breakers up near Glasgow?? I need plastics and a few other things as well.....
Electric Sunroof. It only tilts, no slide. I kept faffing with it and managed to get it to slide about 1cm, with continous pushing/prodding the levers. I doubt i'll use it much, what with our weather, but it would be nice to fix. Do i just need a motor from a breakers?? Anyone had to replace one and remember the cost??
Wheel Alignment. I can see a front wheel is off, and the other has dodgy tire tread. Before i shell-out to get this sorted, i just wanted to know, as i'm planning in the near future to change the wheels (hopefully 17"s, currently has 15" OZs), is it worth getting the alignment done now, or waiting for the new wheels and doing it then? If i did it now would it need to be done again with new wheels??
I don't know if this is the associated. But at higher speeds 70+ there's greater vibration noise, coming from the corner with the "out" wheel.
Wheels. I've been reading that on 17's it tramlines quite a lot. The wheels on it are pretty scabby, so i would like to replace. Would it be best on 17's or 16's then?? I don't fancy rolling the arches, but also want to lower it onto them. I don't know if it's been lowered already?? (there's already mods on it......and it doesn't lOOk like a Paris Dakar entry?

)? Do the Audi TT wheels fit directly on?? I've seen several golfs now with what lOOks like the TT wheels. Any other cars that have the same fitting wheels i could possibly source for a bargain??
Apart from the few problems, and in need of a valet, it's a cracking little car. Quite sporty, (nice to have that nip before 3000, unlike previous turbo'd motors), excellent handling - very positive and little roll. Ooses build quality and feels solid. I can see us keeping this car even when our new car arrives...!!
Thanks in advance for any help/answers, never owned a VW before (well don't know, it's the wifey's?

)
