exhaust probs

my exhaust seems to be playing up.the car has lack of power and popping noise coming from middle box but cant see any holes! is it possible that the baffles might of collasped inside the box would this cause running problems?

The best thing to do is get a vacuum and pressure test done on the exhaust including an emissions test. This will determine if your CAT is working and confirm whether there is any leaks in the exhaust or manifold gasket that you might not be able to see.

Also if its 'popping' in the exhaust rather than rattling, it may be that its running a bit rough and throwing unburnt fuel into the exhaust?? Would also explain the lack of power anyways!

Let me know what you find, ill be interested to find out what this is  :cool:

No worries, have you had it scanned for fault codes.

ok more help needed! my exhaust has been tested and is fine,had a split hose going from intake manifold to vacum servo(replaced)the car is still hunting and pulls back when accelerating,had rac out and they cant find fault,took it to a garage and they said they did not want anything to do with it(bastards)....got no error codes coming up on vagcom..sounds like a sabaru at the moment..this is really doing my head in!!! any ideas anyone pls :sad:

Have you checked the obvious things mate like plugs and leads dizzy cap?
