so just to clarify, to get them lookin like the pic, you will need mk4 needles? And will they light up properly without any extra modding? Cheers.

This is getting more and more complicated, in the words of a certain dragon......i'm out!

Were you in?

I was definitely considering it! I may invest in some heater controls from their website anyway, so thanks for the link :afro:

you lot are all f**king idiots, they are a plasma back lit dial set, the only other ones like this available are DDI dials, that come in just over £110, they replace your origional dials, you take the needles off, put these on and put your needles back on, wire them into any of the illumination wires on one of your switches, (normaly the grey/green, or grey/blue wire...... pos and brown..... earth) if you want glowing needles you need mk4 needles, they are gonna be made in MPH, hence why he's asking for pictures of everyones dials... they will be made in the 3 most popular designs, stop been numptys, and clogging this thread spouting rubbish about how complicated stuff is, and why your not intrested, if you are, put your name on the list...

Its that bit that needs clarification, what exactly does 'wiring them in' entail? Although i'm sure that if the OP can confirm if clear instructions are provided with the kit then all will be ok.

Couldn't have said it better myself mate.   maybe everything has to be almost free/cheap and easy to be worth doing. Maybe a led gearknob group buy would be more appealing.

Not sure it will have instruction. There's plenty of info Clocks around the WWW. It takes a bit of common sense to fit them but not impossible.

It will need an earth and and a positive feed from the lighting circuit to get  them working. If that's too difficult or you don't feel comfortable with electrics then they may not be for you.

So stop being such an abusive c u n t :lipsrsealed:

You could scotch block them onto any wire.

Personally I'd snip a wire, apply some heatshrink, solder then warm up the heatshrink.

Or you could solder it in the clocks.

This is PROPER simple wiring people, if you can light up a bulb you can do this.

+12v and earth.

Two wires.

I really want to put my name down but I'm always skint. When will this be going through?

Also, I have a 1.6, I'm sure my dials aren't ALL that common, does that matter?

That's pretty much all the wiring you'd need to do.

That's off a Honda, but think of that as your heated rear screen switch or even easier, the illuminated ciggerette lighter.

Can I just quickly ask when it's going to be sorted and also, does it matter that my dials probably aren't that common or not?
